Back to DelegatesMarina Katnić-Bakaršić, M.A., Ph. D., is a Full Professor of Russian at the Department of Slavonic languages and of Stylistics at the Department of Comparative Literature and Librarianship, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. She teaches Linguistics and Stylistics at the Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo. She is a correspondence member of the Academy of Science and Arts of B&H. She has published 12 books, among which are Gradacija /Gradation (Sarajevo, International Peace Center 1996, e-edition Zagreb, 2018), Stilistika / Stylistics (Sarajevo, Ljiljan / Tugra, 2000 and 2nd edition 2007), Stilistika dramskog diskursa / Stylistics of Dramatic Discourse (Sarajevo, Vrijeme, 2003; second, improved edition „University Press 2013), Između diskursa moći i moći diskursa / Between Discourse of Power and Power of Discourse (Zagreb, Zoro, 2012), four elementary-school textbooks and over 170 papers, articles, reviews and translations, published in national and international journals and other publications. She participated at many international conferences an/or was a visiting professor in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Japan, Montenegro, etc. Her fields of scholarly interest are stylistics, discourse studies, critical discourse analysis (CDA) and gender studies.
